Lolita ( Loy) Maguigad Gelle
Loy Gelle acquired dystonia at the age of 9, but this never hindered her passion for advocacy and leadership. A graduate of St. Scholastica’s College Manila, she has dedicated her career to human rights and disability-focused nonprofit work since 1995. She has played a pivotal role in establishing and leading several organizations, including the Foundation for These Abled Persons Inc., Business Producers Cooperative, and Accessville Neighborhood Association. Currently, she serves as the President of the Philippine Council of Organizations on Disability and Empowerment (PHILCODE), championing the rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities. Loy is further enhancing her expertise by pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Business and a Master’s in Project Management at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia.
Loy is also a grant writer, working with clients from the United States and the Philippines to secure funding for various nonprofit initiatives.
